Successful Treatment of a 17-Year-Old Patient with 95% Burns at Imam Musa Kazem (AS) Medical Center

Imam Musa Kazem (AS) Educational and Medical Center in Isfahan achieved a remarkable medical success by saving the life of a 17-year-old patient who suffered 95% third- and fourth-degree burns following a severe workplace accident. The patient was admitted on May 12, 2025, and after three months of intensive treatment, is now ready for discharge. During hospitalization, the patient underwent ten surgical procedures and one session of dialysis, supported by continuous ICU care, advanced medical facilities, and the dedicated efforts of a highly specialized multidisciplinary medical team. Despite the extremely critical condition, the patient’s life was successfully saved through round-the-clock care and expert treatment. This achievement is considered rare even at the international level, as only a limited number of burn centers worldwide are capable of managing such extensive burn injuries. The success reflects the high level of expertise, commitment, and teamwork among physicians, nurses, ICU staff, and operating room personnel, with the support of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. Imam Musa Kazem (AS) Educational and Medical Center continues to stand as a symbol of hope, advanced medical care, and human dedication in the field of burn treatment.
