The first axis: receiving optimal health services is the patient's right. Care must be based on the following conditions:
Appropriate to human dignity and with respect to cultural and religious values and beliefs
based on current knowledge, based on evidence, as soon as possible and in emergency cases regardless of funding, while maintaining quality and in a safe and secure environment
With full respect and regardless of racial, cultural, religious factors and the type of disease
Distribution of health resources based on justice and patient treatment preferences appropriate to language, age and gender
Considering the rights of vulnerable groups, including children, pregnant women, the elderly, mentally ill, mentally and physically disabled, and homeless and abused patients
Based on the coordination of care elements including prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation
Receiving diagnostic and treatment services and care from experienced and professionally qualified medical staff
Observance of hand hygiene by the medical staff before and after the care recommended by the World Health Organization
 
The second axis: the information should be provided to the patient in a good and sufficient way. This information includes the following:
  Charter of patient's rights Knowledge of treatment team members (name, responsibility and professional rank)
How to access the attending physician and other members of the treatment team
To receive necessary training to continue treatment and to be aware of care plans during hospitalization and after discharge
Hospital rules and regulations (predictable costs of treatment, including medical and non-medical services, tariffs and insurances)
Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic methods, strengths and weaknesses of each method and possible side effects
 
The third axis: the patient's right to choose and make a free and informed decision after receiving information must be respected. The scope of patient choice and decision-making includes the following:
Choosing a doctor and service center
Using a second doctor's opinion as a consultant
Participation or non-participation in research and research works
Accepting or rejecting diagnostic methods and proposed treatments after being aware of possible complications
 
The fourth axis: the provision of health services should be based on preserving the patient's privacy and respecting the principle of confidentiality.
Compliance with the principle of confidentiality in maintaining patient information by the treatment staff (except in exceptional cases according to national laws)
Preservation of patient privacy in all stages of diagnosis, treatment and care
Persons authorized to access information include the patient, treatment staff, legal guardian or persons authorized by law
Accompanying one of the parents with the child in all diagnostic and treatment stages, except in special cases as determined by the attending physician and the head of the department
 
The fifth axis: Access to an efficient complaint handling system is a patient's right.
The patient has the right to complain to the competent authorities if his rights are lost, without disrupting the process of providing care and treatment services.
The patient has the right to know the procedure and outcome of his complaint.
The damage caused by the error of the service providers must be compensated in the shortest possible time after proof, according to the regulations.
