Introducing the department of international patients of Imam Musa Kazem (A.S.)Educational and therapeutic center
Medical tourism or health tourism is a trip to another country with the purpose of treatment .The reasons for this type of tourism are lack of similar treatment methods, high treatment costs, and the absence of advanced treatment technologies in the original country.
Our dear country, Iran, according to appropriate medical tariffs, using modern scientific principles and technology and experienced specialists compared to other countries in the region , it always has enough potential to accept patients from other countries.
Due to its geographical locations and benefiting from tourism capacities, Isfahan city has always been the focus of patients in the field of health tourism.
Imam Musa Kazem (A.S.) educational and therapeutic center was established in 1369 and it is always known as one of the advanced centers in burn and plastic surgery in the region and before any talking about medical tourism , this center has been hosted patients from other countries because the center based its strategy on "providing the best services for the patients. " In this regard , this center , considering the need to get health tourism license and relying on its valuable experiences , and in order to provide health services for bur patients and plastic surgery for health tourists, in 2018(1398) with the use of expert specialists and advanced facilities in a modern environment and with the motto of "creating a difference for a better life " it started a unit called international patient department (IPD).
This unit has two single rooms on the first floor of the hospital in order to accepting plastic surgery patients with the following facilities:
1. Having natural lights inside the room and flower designing outside the room.
2. Having amenities such as bathroom, kitchen, restroom , nurse calling system ,sofa and bed in the patient's room.
3. TV and Wifi
4. It has a different food menu to be chosen by the patient and patient's companion
It also has 2 BICU beds in the special care department on the second floor to accept burn patients with the following facilities :
1. Having natural lights inside the rooms.
2. Using patient's bathtub to bath the patient in a private room .
3. TV, WIFI and telephone line
4. It has a different food menu to be chosen by the patient and patient's companion.
5. Having monitor for absent patient visits .
6. The presence of a nurse in second station of each department for 24 hours.

The followings are only a part of services that can be provided for all the accepted patients to have good times in international patients department of the center.
1. Interpreter services during examination and doctor's visits.
2. The presence of the nurses and treatment staff with the ability of communicating in the patient's language 24 hours a day.
3. Creating accommodation spaces and hotel services by obeying the current rules of Islamic republic of Iran and based on the patient's culture in the hospital.
4. Estimating and accounting the medical costs before your arrival.
5. Preparing and delivery the treatment sheets and bills in patient's language at the time of discharge.
6. Communicating with the doctor and controlling by sending the file after returning to your country .
7. Providing educational services for patient and companion during the patient's staying in the hospital and after discharge.
8. Communication and companionship of the IPD nurse with the patient in all phases of hospitalization , treatment and discharge.
9. Daily IPD doctor's visits and other specialists according to the type of treatment .
10. Having psychologist and psychiatrist services during the hospitalization.
11. Using advanced methods and equipment to prevent infection in all treatment departments.
